Upcoming issues with highways searches

Between Monday, 2nd October and Wednesday, 11th October (inclusive), Lincolnshire County Council will be unable to process highways searches.

Each district council that falls under the county council have confirmed how this will affect them. These councils are:

• City of Lincoln Council
• Boston Borough Council
• East Lindsey District Council
• North Kesteven District Council
• South Kesteven District Council
• South Holland District Council
• West Lindsey District Council

Details of how each council will be affected are below.

Lincoln City Council - Local Land Charges will still be processing searches, however, they will be unable to return full searches until the Highways services resume. If you have an urgent search, LLC are happy to supply a partial search with no Highways replies. The Highways replies will be removed completely from the request. If Highways replies are required, this will need to be obtained directly from the County Council. Their cancellation policy will remain the same, which is to call on an individual basis.

Boston Borough Council - LLC will still be processing searches during the downtime, however, they will be unable to return full searches until the highways services resume. They are unable to provide partial replies. All searches submitted up until the downtime will be completed and returned. Their cancellation policy will remain the same, which is to call on an individual basis.

East Lindsey District Council - LLC will still be processing searches, however, they will be unable to return full searches until the highways services resume. They are unable to provide partial replies and searches will be returned in time and date order once the highways service has resumed. They can only cancel searches on the same day as submission.

North Kesteven District Council - LLC will be unable to process or return full searches during this time. The cut-off date for accepting searches is 4pm on Thursday 28th September. If you have an urgent search, the LLC department is happy to supply a partial search with no Highways replies. As they are a migrated Local Authority, LLC1 only requests can be submitted and returned as this information is returned from Land Registry. Their cancellation policy will remain the same, which is to call on an individual basis.

South Kesteven District Council - LLC will still be processing searches, however, they will be unable to return full searches until highways services resume. If you have an urgent search, LLC are happy to supply a partial search with no highways replies. The highways responses will follow once they are available. As they are a migrated Local Authority, LLC1 only requests can be submitted and returned as this information is returned from Land Registry. Their cancellation policy will remain the same which is that you can cancel up to 12pm on the day of submission.

South Holland District Council - LLC will still be processing searches, however they will be unable to return searches until highways services resume. LLC can provide a partial reply with no highways replies for urgent matters only. Their cancellation policy will remain the same, which is that they cannot cancel once accepted.

West Lindsey District Council - LLC will still be processing searches, however, they will be unable to return searches until highways services resume. LLC are unable to provide partial replies. Their cancellation policy will remain the same, which is to call on an individual basis.
