GroundSure Homescreen is an entry level environmental report which allows homebuyers to confidently assess the environmental risks that could affect the value and enjoyment of the property.
The report can be carried out for any home in England and Wales, and considers the risk of the property being identified as contaminated land under Part IIA of the Environmental
Protection Act 1990.
In addition to contaminated land derived from GroundSure’s detailed Historical Land Use Database, GroundSure Homescreen provides information on:
- Flood risks to the property
- Confirmation of whether the property is within or close to a radon affected area
- The existence of mining in the area and its potential hazards, including identification of natural and mining cavities, and a shallow mining assessment
- An assessment on the possibility of natural ground subsidence
- Details of any former landfill sites in the area.
GroundSure Homescreen also offers homeowners the benefit of a financial contribution of up to £60,000* when a part IIA remediation notice is served by a local authority and where costs to remediate the site will be incurred by the homeowner.
