Product Owner

We rely on our Product Owner to deliver value to our business by truly understanding customer needs and collaborating with key stakeholders to determine the best solutions, considering business constraints. The Product Owner is required to collaborate with a software engineering team to build technical solutions, as well as other internal teams to develop non-technical solutions.

Our team harnesses all the necessary skills to deliver effective solutions that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible to our customers and users – both external and internal. We empower them to solve difficult problems (customer and business) in ways that our customers love yet work for our business.

The role is primarily responsible for our ecommerce platform which is the hub of activity for our customers, enabling them to access our products and services. The role is also responsible for our internal order and production systems that enable our business to operate. This collection of systems is currently under the microscope to undergo a full rebuild, in which the PO is the key driver and communicator.

• The greatest skill you will need in this role is the art of communication. You will need to be able to translate technical information to differing levels of understanding, across teams, senior management team and board level.
• Utilise knowledge and expertise around the business to support efficient and effective decision making.
• The ability to prioritise work to ensure we get the most value within the best time.
• Influence key stakeholders to achieve alignment and buy-in.
• A strategic mind to develop long-term plans for the business.
• Solid execution skills and attention to detail to ensure developments are built to specification and maintain the quality of the product.
• Able to produce quality content to a high standard.
